February Office Closures

The town office will be closing early on Monday, February 2, 2026.  The Office will be open 10:00am - 2:00pm.

The town office will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026 in observance of President's Day.

12.31.25 Dog Licenses are DUE

All dogs must be licensed by December 31, 2025. On February 1, 2026 a State mandated $25.00 late fee (per dog) will be charged in addition to the regular license fee.
All dogs six months and older must have a license. Dogs must be up to date on Rabies Vaccination before they are licensed. Please bring proof of current Rabies certificate.
Dog licensing fees are as follows:
Spayed / Neutered: $6 per year
Not Spayed / Neutered: $11 per year
If your dog has been neutered or spayed in the last year please bring that certificate with you as well. 

3.21.26 Annual Town Meeting & 4.8.26 Municipal Elections

The Select Board has set the date of the Annual Town Meeting for Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 10:00AM.  The Municipal Elections have been set for Wednesday, April 8, 2026 with voting 12:00pm - 7:00pm.

Subject: Highway Safety and Spot Improvements, Large Culvert Rehabilitation

Dear Mr. Veilluex,

The Maine Department of Transportation is currently working on estimating a Large Culvert Rehabilitation
on Route 202 in the Town of Albion for advertisement of the subject project for competitive bids in April
of 2026. Construction will occur during the summer months; exact start and completion dates will be
forwarded once a schedule from the Contractor has been reviewed and approved.

The project is further described as follows:

Large Culvert (#47048) located 0.18 a mile east of Bog Road.

The purpose of this letter is to make the necessary notifications of the project to abutters, municipal officials
and occupants of the highway under the provisions of 23 M.R.S.A. § 3351. We hereby request that you
provide a copy of this notice to all municipal officials, employees and boards with responsibilities for utility
and/or land-use planning/permitting, and that you post this letter on any municipal public bulletin boards,
media outlets and/or municipal websites as public meeting will not be held regarding this project unless
specifically requested by the municipality.

The Department would like to know if there are any events or known traffic generators that would impact
this project. Should you have any questions, concerns, or other areas of interest, we would appreciate your
